About

A faithful viewer for your GPX files, and a bridge from Google Maps

GPX MAP answers two questions quickly. Where exactly did this ride, hike or drive go, and what were the numbers? And how do I get the route I planned in Google Maps onto my Garmin? No sign-up, no library, no re-routing. Just your track on a map, and a GPX file when you need one.

Why it exists

Most tools that open a GPX file either want you to create an account first, or quietly reinterpret the track, snapping it to roads or recalculating a route. For a motorcycle trip through mountain passes or a hike off the marked trail, that changes the story. GPX MAP shows the recorded line as it is, including the detours and the wrong turns.

The second half came from planning trips in Google Maps. Google Maps does not export GPX, and Google My Maps exports only KML, which a Garmin cannot read. The Google Maps to GPX page closes that gap: paste a shared link or drop a KML export, and you get a GPX route with the same stops, ready for a navigator or a planning app.

Two ways to use it

View a track or route
Upload a GPX from Garmin Connect, BaseCamp, Garmin Desktop App, Strava, Komoot, Wahoo or any other tool, or a KML/KMZ from Google My Maps or Google Earth, and explore it on an interactive map with statistics and an elevation profile.
Convert Google Maps to GPX
Paste a link copied from the Share button in Google Maps, or drop a My Maps KML/KMZ export, then either view it on the map or download it as a GPX 1.1 file.

What you get

Private by design

There is no account and nothing is stored. Your file or link is read once to build the page or the GPX and then discarded. A quick Cloudflare check confirms you are a person before an upload or conversion starts; it is shown once per page and never looks at your data. Curious about the details? The how it works page walks through each step, including how the statistics are calculated and exactly what a Google Maps link contains.
